John Spisak, CEO of SolaRover, personally arrived in New York on 15 November to help man the big SolaRover Mojave-3 hybrid unit.  SolaRover brought this generator from Indiana, first to Citi Field to help Incident Command.  Next stop was to power a gas station!  Then the unit spent the next several weeks in Rockaway Beach about a block from the ocean.

SolaRover powered a community hub for volunteers, including a medical clinic, including refrigeration, a kitchen, flood lights at night and other critical power needs... as well as charging countless cell phones and flashlights for locals.

Greenpeace, among the first of the first-responders here, set up a hot food kitchen... also powered by the SolaRover.  FEMA, Red Cross and the National Guard brought supplies, SolaRover brought the power.

SolaRover moved the unit several times to help different efforts in the Rockaway area.  Here they're at a supply effort, powering all kinds of stuff, on Thanksgiving Day.

From here the SolaRover moved to New Jersey and Sandy Hook at Fort Hancock.  SolaRover left the unit in capable hands after weeks of flawless power generation, run by many different, untrained personnel, and... well, just keeps working!

July 4, 2012:  Renewables West provides pure solar power to charge a new Chevy Volt.  At the same time we were powering the live broadcast and MC/DJ for KKIQ radio in San Leandro.  F H Dailey Chevrolet hosted a great Independence Day party, with local businesses, kids activities, hot rods and apple pie!

The Chevy dealer shows off their new electric line, and were able to demonstrate charging directly from our solar generator.

Our SolaRover Mojave-1 powered not only the charging unit for the Volt, it powered the live radio stage and part of the band sound stage!
