July 4, 2012: Renewables West provides pure solar power to charge a new Chevy Volt. At the same time we were powering the live broadcast and MC/DJ for KKIQ radio in San Leandro. F H Dailey Chevrolet hosted a great Independence Day party, with local businesses, kids activities, hot rods and apple pie!
The Chevy dealer shows off their new electric line, and were able to demonstrate charging directly from our solar generator.
Our SolaRover Mojave-1 powered not only the charging unit for the Volt, it powered the live radio stage and part of the band sound stage!
